Jess qualified with a Degree in Teaching from Te Rito Maioha in 2011, and has since worked in the education field in a variety of roles including visiting teacher, in-home educator, professional development facilitator and head teacher. Jess joined the team in November 2018, bringing with her a background in RIE and Pikler philosophies of respectful teaching, and 11 years of experience working with infants and toddlers.
Jess has a passion for supporting tamariki, parents and whānau, and teachers to feel a sense of belonging in the centre, and promotes warm reciprocal relationships as a way to create harmonious learning environments.
